James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis share their characters, which they found most interesting and complementary in discussing their different approaches to the craft
Scenario
A family is invited to spend an entire weekend at a lonely house in the countryside, but as the weekend progresses, they realize that the family who invited them has a dark side. The story is inspired by the experiences of Christian Tafdrup, the director of the original Danish film Goście (2022), who befriended a Dutch couple while on vacation in Tuscany with his wife. Although the Dutch were somewhat socially awkward, the two couples got along very well, and upon returning home, Tafdrup received an invitation from a Dutch family to move to the Netherlands.

He briefly considered it, but decided it would be strange to stay with people he didn’t really know; his story for the film came about when he released his darkest fantasies about what might have happened if he had agreed (while keeping in mind that the original Dutch couple never gave off bad vibes). In this remake, the nationalities of both families have been changed to American and British. In the bathroom, while washing his eye, he has a subconjunctival hemorrhage in his left eye, in the next scene in his eyes.

It’s fair to say that their encounter is like no other, it doesn’t end like a Danish brother (or sister), which is a shame because it was better, it was free and unlimited, leaving the viewer with more than just gutters and gutters. James McAvoy is brilliant, unfortunately there’s no ending – watch the Danish version for that. The final season of “What We Do in the Shadows” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of this month.
