About DMV Short-Term Rentals

Prior to Airbnb existence, in 1994 Desiree Munson stayed in a bed and breakfast in both Historic Savannah Georgia and Charleston South Carolina and fell in love with the experience and the idea of one day running her very own bread and breakfast. In 2011 she started to rent her DC home's basement on Airbnb and her dream became a reality. It was incredibly successful and she enjoyed visitors from around the world. This success not only satisfied a dream but it afforded her the ability to pay her entire mortgage each month with the rental income alone.

After hosting hundreds of guests with success and helping friends set up their own Airbnb's, Desiree decided to expand her business by starting to support other vacation rental hosts in cost effective ways, helping them to maximize their rental income. DMV- Short-Term Rental manages short-term rental properties in and around the Washington DC area.
